Cholon est une section d'influence chinoise de Ho Chi Minh-Ville (ex-Saigon). Il se trouve sur la rive ouest de la rivière Saigon, ayant marché Binh Tay que son marché central. Cholon se compose de la moitié ouest du District 5 ainsi que plusieurs quartiers contigus dans le District 6.
Cholon is a Chinese-influenced section of Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon). It lies on the west bank of the Saigon River, having Bình Tây Market as its central market. Cholon consists of the western half of District 5 as well as several adjoining neighborhoods in District 6.
Chợ Lớn là một vùng chịu ảnh hưởng của người Hoa tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (Sài Gòn xưa). Nằm trên bờ phía tây của sông Sài Gòn, có chợ Bình Tây nằm ngay khu vực trung tâm. Chợ Lớn gồm nửa phía tây của Quận 5 cũng như một số khu vực liền kề ở Quận 6.

Le marché de Binh tay à été construit sur un terrain vendu par Quach Dam, riche chinois qui est arrivé à Cholon sans un sous. Il a trié les poubelles en arrivant. Et avec la force de son travail, il a ouvert une mercerie, pour s'enrichir petit à petit.
The Binh Tay market was built on land sold by Quach Dam, rich Chinese who arrived penniless in Cholon. He sorted the trash and opened a haberdashery, to get rich slowly.
